Listen to Comedy Bits from Lee's Andrew & Nigel
Collaboration with Mark Dito
-
These comedy bits
were mainly recorded in 1983 by roommates Mark
(middle name Andrew) Dito and Lee (middle name
Nigel), in their Downey, California apartment. After
finishing their computer science education together
in San Diego, they moved up north to L.A. to become
nerds with jobs. To attract chicks they drank
heavily and recorded nonsensical comedy bits on a
cheap Radio Shack cassette. Apparently it worked. A
year or so after these recordings were made, the
"partying programmers" were both married (not to
each other) with one newborn baby each. Additional
offspring followed. Their friendship endures to this
day, but, mercifully, Mark and Lee's (a.k.a
Andrew & Nigel's) comedy does not. Hey, it was
funny at the time. Warning: some explicit lyrics!
Note: These are low audio
quality, small file size versions of the original
recordings.

file size 429kb)
Notes: A sad, musical
commentary on the drink that made Bud wiser. (Both,
1983)
"Interview with Ringo" (1:31, 1MB)
Notes: Impersonations should
be left to the original. (Both, 1983)
"Insult Alarm Clock" (0:13, 188kb)
Notes: You'll want to really
bash this with your fist at 6:15am. (Both, 1983)
"Cramming in the News" (0:31, 498kb)
Notes: Oh, sure, like "news
anchor" Andrew wasn't on something illegal. (Mark, 1983)
"Bartender Cutting Off the Drunk" (0:39, 623kb)
Notes: Slurring takes
practice. (Both, 1983)
"Dick Van Dyke Show Theme Song" (0:29, 685kb)

words than that. (Lee, 1986, using 4-track Tascam
cassette)
