The
Attachments and BGB
-
I've
recorded and performed as a drummer/singer
with keyboardist/frontman Bill Grisolia since 1991. Despite
time apart to focus on solo albums and other projects,
Bill and I have remained close friends.
-
At first
called The Attachments, the
band later became BGB, short for Bill Grisolia
Band. Bill, I and other members have collaborated
on the recording of a half-dozen albums over the
years, including one (Rosarita) produced by Barry
Fasman (Styx, Billy Joel). My backing vocals can be heard
on many of the songs.
-
In addition to Bill and I,
other talented musicians who've worked tirelessly on
The Attachments recordings and performances
included bassists Jeff Klein and Scott Duncan, and
guitarists Lynn Grieves, David Goldman and Scott
Lawson.
-
The Attachments
performed
countless gigs in top Los Angeles venues including
The Roxy, Club Lingerie, The Palomino, Bogart's, BeachFest and UCLA's
Drake Stadium. We've shared the stage with numerous touring acts
including Starship, Eddie
Money,
Rick Derringer, Jack Mack and the Heart Attack,
and The Beat Farmers.
-
After a break in 1994 to
focus on solo and other projects, and after several
"reunion" gigs over the years, in 2004 I rejoined Bill to create
BGB (Bill
Grisolia Band), which included Chap Cooper on
guitars and Bart Broadnax on bass. BGB regularly
opened for national touring acts including Three Dog
Night, Eddie Money, Leon Russell and Macy Gray
in venues such as The Vault and The Coach House.
